General Description

Here to chat a bit, possibly make a few friends. Interesting, adventurous, thoughtful types are a plus, humble guys who have a balanced existence. I work from home and, reluctantly, these apps are my sole connection to gaydom. I believe we're all going to need connections in the coming months. I’m more interested in your life and what you’ve made of it than seeing your body arts. I am friendly, outgoing and compliment readily but that does not imply I want sex or a relationship with you. I like to achieve. I like to explore and learn. I’m deeply curious. I’m not really a chill person, nor do I want to be, but I wouldn’t say I was intense either. I’m not a drinker and really not a hedonist at all: a little pain makes the goal more worthy. I like to challenge myself and I have lofty, likely crazy, goals. I spend much of my time right now working on my home and land. I’m also developing a handful of web sites. I have a couple horses I raised and trained and 4 cantankerous dachshunds. My free time varies greatly. Patience appreciated. I love exploring the West and the wide-open spaces from the high plains through the Rocky Mountains to the canyons of Utah. Very much into ranch/farm skills, arts and trades. I love tech of all sorts and extreme weather. I am animal welfare minded, environmentally conscious and spiritually awake. I am an educated, professional and skilled guy. Grew up on a large farm with all those relevant skills, was a software developer for 20 years and a farrier for 15 years. I'm a moral/ethical sort, derived from my own experiences, not the magical books of men. I would rather spend the day tinkering in the shop on my truck or tractor, cleaning a saddle, watching a dust devil or hawk go by than crammed into an event or figuring out new ways to be awesome online. I love tooling around small towns, find the mom-n-pop diner with the most trucks and grab a burger. After that find a tree or mesa with a great view, sit on the tailgate and contemplate life. My aspirations are to have a hay farm and use those proceeds to help abused/elderly horses and dogs. It’s my way of paying the universe back for the souls that brought so much joy into my life.
